چکیده

I will not describe the underlying assumptions in details. These are the usual sorts of assumptions one makes for parametric models, in order to be able to establish sensible results. See Page 11 of Chapter 3 of Wellner’s notes for a detailed description of the conditions involved. For a multidimensional parametric model {p(x, θ) : θ ∈ Θ ⊂ Rk}, the information matrix I(θ) is given by: I(θ) = Eθ(l̇(X, θ), l̇(X, θ) ) = −Eθ l̈(X, θ) , where l̇(X, θ) = ∂ ∂ θ l(X, θ)

Exact Statistical Inference for Some Parametric Nonhomogeneous Poisson Processes

Nonhomogeneous Poisson processes (NHPPs) are often used to model recurrent events, and there is thus a need to check model fit for such models. We study the problem of obtaining exact goodness-of-fit tests for certain parametric NHPPs, using a method based on Monte Carlo simulation conditional on sufficient statistics. A closely related way of obtaining exact confidence intervals in parametri...

Detection of Outliers and Influential Observations in Linear Ridge Measurement Error Models with Stochastic Linear Restrictions

The aim of this paper is to propose some diagnostic methods in linear ridge measurement error models with stochastic linear restrictions using the corrected likelihood. Based on the bias-corrected estimation of model parameters, diagnostic measures are developed to identify outlying and influential observations. In addition, we derive the corrected score test statistic for outliers detection ba...

Conditional inference in parametric models

This paper presents a new approach to conditional inference, based on the simulation of samples conditioned by a statistics of the data. Also an explicit expression for the approximation of the conditional likelihood of long runs of the sample given the observed statistics is provided. It is shown that when the conditioning statistics is sufficient for a given parameter, the approximating densi...

A minimum Hellinger distance estimator for stochastic differential equations: An application to statistical inference for continuous time interest rate models

A Minimum Disparity Distance Estimator minimizes a φ-divergence between the marginal density of a parametric model and its non-parametric estimate. This principle is applied to the estimation of stochastic differential equation models, choosing the Hellinger distance as particular φ−divergence. Under an hypothesis of stationarity, the parametric marginal density is provided by solving the Kolmo...

Accurate Inference for the Mean of the Poisson-Exponential Distribution

Although the random sum distribution has been well-studied in probability theory, inference for the mean of such distribution is very limited in the literature. In this paper, two approaches are proposed to obtain inference for the mean of the Poisson-Exponential distribution. Both proposed approaches require the log-likelihood function of the Poisson-Exponential distribution, but the exact for...
